Medical Advisory Board Member

 Dr. J. Palmer Branch has been in private practice since 1997. His practice, Comprehensive Foot and Ankle, LLC presently has offices in Cumming, GA and Lilburn, GA ( www.comprehensivefootandankle.net ). He is Board Certified in Foot Surgery as well as Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle Surgery – American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. Dr. Branch is on the medical staff at Northside- Forsyth Hospital in Cumming, GA and Gwinnett Medical Center in Lawrenceville, GA.

In 2019, he was named President-Elect of the Georgia Podiatric Medical Association (GPMA) and will take over as President of that organization in 2020. He has been a member of the GPMA Board of Directors for several years.

For many years, he has given lectures on foot and ankle surgical procedures at large continuing medical education meetings for both podiatric surgeons and orthopedic surgeons. This has included lectures on limb salvage from extensive foot and ankle infections as well as a wide variety of foot and ankle pathology. He has published several articles in medical journals including a new technique for repair of the Achilles tendon and other foot and ankle tendons.

Dr. Branch is a native of Atlanta, GA and received his undergraduate degree from Furman University in Greenville, SC. He completed his residency at Wellington Regional Medical Center in West Palm Beach, FL where he received extensive training in surgical repair of complex foot and ankle deformities and foot and ankle trauma. Prior to that he completed his podiatric medical school at the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine (formerly Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine). While a student there he received the American Podiatric Medical Students Association Scholarship; Fund for Podiatric Medical Education Scholarship, American Podiatric Medical Education Region Ten Scholarship; and the J.E. Smaha, Sr. Memorial Scholarship.
